In what universe does Python and Ruby's alternative implementations have significant market share?


In the real universe we live in, JRuby, at least, has fairly wide adoption, and YARV, which started out as one of the alternative implementations, became the mainline implementation (and, at least for a while, it was widely speculated the same thing would eventually happen with Rubinius.)
