the Khan format doesn't work for everything and the spectrum is probably much too wide, but the appeal is exactly that it is one guy explaining writing. that way the students experience the thought process, which is what most teachers forget about (if they even know and care about the subject matter)

by the way, those videos on the site are terrible and the exact reason why this kind of "thing" does not and never will work.
