Most of the time I do not need my whole ip stack to be forwarded over a secure channel but simply HTTP/s .. here is where SSH/socks proxying suits well for me in hotels etc..


Have you tried both? Particularly on bad hotel WiFi and roaming, wireguard perf is not comparable to SSH proxying.


ah gotcha.. ok I'll setup wreguard tonight as there is really no need to route everything via a "tun0" if I don't need to anyway, when I think about it.
