I know some people who try to extend this thinking to software libraries. Ask yourself if the world would be better served if OpenSSL was closed-source and therefore could not be analyzed for bugs so easily by attackers. It's a slippery slope... but I see regular arguments why a particular piece of software is "technically" more secure by some level of obscurity (restricting access).
