Oh my goodness, quite a reaction storm! I was aware of the counterfeit issue bit I am surprised at the intensity of the reactions. As a software author I can certainly sympathize with motivation of FTDI but I also can understand the frustrations being voiced. I guess I have been lucky and not had to deal with this issue. Changing the subject a bit, it would be great if there was a standard for gpio on all pc's.
